The New Glock 30S Model!

Where does the Glock 30S fit into the Glock 45 Caliber Product line?
Glock 21SF - It's a standard frame handgun with a capacity of 13+1. This is the big dog which rides comfortably in a hip holster but due to it's size, it is not the best choice for [most] concealed carry purposes.

Glock 30SF -  Most folks call this a mid size gun.  It has a mag capacity of 10+1. It features a slide which is fat and heavy just like it's big brother the G21, however, the grip has been shortened to reduce the size of this handgun. Though it has smaller form factor than the G21SF, it is still not an ideal concealed carry gun due to it's thickness and weight and most folks would not be comfortable using this gun in an IWB holster (inside the waistband) or pocket holster.

*Glock 36 - Glock calls it a subcompact.  It has a capacity of 6+1 or 7+1 (when a +1 grip extender is used).  This handgun packs the 45 caliber punch. It is Glock's only single stack firearm and it is also the thinnest of all Glock pistols!  The Glock 36 excels in concealed carry mode due to it's thin form factor.  The G36 is also lighter than the G30SF which makes it much more suitable for IWB or pocket carry than the G30SF.

*Glock 30S -  Built on the G30 SF frame it has a capacity of 10+1 and uses the same double stack magazine as the G30SF.  This is hybrid! Take the lower of the G30 and the slide from the G36 and you have the G30S.  The slide is thinner and lighter but the body of the gun is the same thickness as the G30.  The G36 is still the thinnest and lightest 45 in the Glock product line but the G30S gives concealed carry enthusiasts and law enforcement a new option 45 caliber concealed carry.
